Technology Advisory Panel

The Technology Advisory Panel (TAP) regularly provides independent advice to the Investigatory Powers Commissioner, and his team, on a wide range of technical and scientific topics relating to the Investigatory Powers Act (2016).

Advice may be written or verbal and can vary in length and detail. Although much is too sensitive to be published, where possible unclassified versions will be made available publicly as samples of the type of advice provided to the Investigatory Powers Commissioner.

It is the Investigatory Powers Commissioner’s decision whether to publish this content.

Please note: research, guidance and advice from the TAP are not statements of IPCO’s policy or regulatory position.
